Schlesinger’s Monthly Fireside

Greetings Friends,  Please to remember the Bahá'í “Fireside” Dinner Meeting this Saturday, January 5th

As we do not have a fireplace, the “Fireside” name of the meeting is figurative. But we will start with a real Dinner for all at 6:00 PM.   Please RSVP so we know how much food to prepare.

We have a guest speaker, Dr. Joel Orona, who will talk about the Bahá'í Faith and entertain questions.  Dr. Orona has worked for many years in a therapeutic professional role for a number of corporations and institutions around the nation.  Thus, after his short presentation, he will be ready for any and all questions of interest by the audience.

He is also from Apache heritage, and they have a great tradition of letting people be free to be themselves.  This is a trait it would be well for mainstream society to consider.   Thus, no question will be ridiculed by the good Doctor no matter how silly it is.  (The rest of us, however, are allowed to quietly giggle.)

We see this meeting as a place to have lively and friendly discussion and for all to share their ideas and perceptions. Dr. Orona, while being a professional psychologist, has no beard, so he will not lean back, stroke his beard and ask you, “So, how do you feel about that?”

Dinner will commence at 6:00 PM on Saturday January 5 of (Gasp!) 2019.  (It seems like just a few days ago it was a year earlier…)

We will begin our formal program around 7:00-ish, and discuss things for maybe an hour. At the end of that time, around 8:00-ish, dessert will be served and discussions will continue around mouthfuls of yummy stuff.

We hope you can come for dinner and a discussion on Saturday evening at 6:00.

Please let us know if you have a dietary requirement, we will do our best to accommodate.  But be advised, we do not serve Kale.  We will have non-dairy ice cream on hand.  (We also will have the dairy kind.)
